Gujarat is organising a national seminar on 'pharmaceutical education
development: need of academia and industry harmonization' on March 3, at
the college auditorium. The seminar will be sponsored by Gujarat
Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST), Gandhinagar.
The seminar is arranged for the pharmacy teachers/PG students and research scholars of pharmacy college and industry. This seminar is expecting to solve the real-life problems in pharmaceutical businesses, industries and society.
The national seminar aims to develop inter-relationship for national and international collaborations for innovation in the fields of pharmaceutical science. Its objective is to nurture creativity and innovation within the academic institutes and designed to act as a catalyst of change for the whole of the society.
This seminar is designed to establish close linkages with industries and businesses to make research and development at the institute relevant to the needs of industries at national and international levels. Thus aiming to involve the industries, along with the students and faculty members, in an innovation campaign, whereby this seminar revives technology education and develops quality research at the institute and helps to create a culture of designing new and improved products and processes in industry. It facilitates to create a management system, which uses the existing structures and facilities by bringing them together for working for innovation.
The convener of the seminar and the principal of the B M Shah College of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Dr N M Patel, chief coordinator of the seminar, Dr A A Patel and co-ordinator of the seminar D D Prajapati and eminent resource persons from academia and industry will deliver in depth information on developing pharmaceutical education in India.
